Welcome Centre at Wrocław Medical University is an integral hub designed to support new students, faculty, and staff as they embark on their academic and professional journeys. We offer a variety of services aimed at easing the transition into university life.

1. New student orientations in order to familiarise you with campus resources, protocols, and services.
2. Faculty and staff orientation sessions to integrate and support new hires into the campus community.
3. General information desk to answer questions about campus services, locations, and events.
4. Assistance with administrative tasks such as registration, obtaining student ID cards, and housing information.
5. Campus tours conducted by student ambassadors to introduce key buildings, facilities, and landmarks.
6. Distribution of campus maps, guides, academic calendars, and event schedules.
7. Workshops on various topics such as study skills and career planning.
8. Events and activities that promote social interaction and community involvement among new students.
9.Special services and programs aimed at supporting international students, including visa assistance, cultural adaptation workshops, and language support.

Welcome to Poland Programme
Welcome Centre
The Welcome Centre of Wrocław Medical University came into being as part of the Welcome to Poland programme organised by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The main objective of the programme is to internationalise Polish higher education and science institutions by financing projects related to:
- internationalization at home institution and the development of its potential in receiving and serving students, scientists and staff from abroad;
2. organization and development of a place dedicated to serving students, scientists and foreign staff, which is the mentioned above Welcome Centre, and preparation of materials necessary for its functioning;
3. developing existing Welcome Centers to ensure standards of service for researchers at the level recommended by EURAXESS;
4. providing advisory services in the field of MSCA;
5. shaping attitudes of openness and tolerance in the academic and scientific community and exchanging good practices in the field of internationalisation;
6. development of cooperation with foreign graduates and the use of their potential in the promotion of Poland and Polish institutions in educational and scientific processes, etc.;
7. developing or purchasing applications, websites, databases or IT systems intended to achieve the objectives of the Project, including cooperation with graduates;
8. online activities aimed at reaching the target group with the information and promotional message (high school graduates, parents, students, foreign graduates, scientists, etc.);
9. creating films, multimedia content and traditional information and promotional materials, in an attractive form presenting Poland, the eligible unit, profiles of students, doctoral students and graduates, etc., with particular emphasis on the uniqueness, originality and quality of the applicant's offer;
10. trainings, meetings, contacts and information and promotional activities carried out in Poland and abroad (including participation in fairs, organizing meetings for the target group, etc.
Wrocław Medical University is an increasingly attractive place for people from abroad. According to estimates, each year the university hosts about 1.7 thousand foreigners and this number is constantly growing. The group of visitors include: students, Erasmus+ scholarship holders and employees of other universities from around the world. Hence we wished to create a place of comprehensive support for foreigners located on our campus.
The Welcome Centre is also a university hub for student and employee initiatives, supporting integration and openness to the multiculturalism of the academic community and discovering its potential.
The Welcome Centre is located on the ground floor of the Centre for Scientific Medical Information (CNIM) at 2-6 Marcinkowskiego Street and is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 15:00.
