Office for Persons with Disabilities (BON)
Special needs are not only about having a disability certificate. The university will also help you in other difficult situations so that you can feel as comfortable as possible. We create a space in which we make sure that every person associated with our university, from the very first steps taken during the recruitment process or later, during their studies or as an employee of the University, feels safe and functions without any obstacles in the academic community that we create together.
To this end, a new organizational unit has been established in the structure of the university – the Office for Persons with Disabilities (BON), which supports the activities of the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Disabled Students and PhD Students. The main objective of joining forces of the Rector’s Plenipotentiary with BON at the Medical University of Wrocław is to provide conditions for full participation in various spheres of academic activity and for employment at the university on the basis of equal opportunities.
The detailed scope of activities of the BON is specified in the Organizational Regulations of the University.
Thanks to various forms of support for the education process and employment of people with disabilities and people with special needs, the Medical University of Silesia received EU funds as part of the “Accessible University” competition. The University is implementing a project entitled “Medical University – we eliminate barriers in minds, hearts and architecture”, thanks to which the Office for Persons with Disabilities was established.
