University Email

After being admitted, every student should visit https://csa.umw.edu.pl/#/ to create a university email account in the student.umw.edu.pl domain. This account will be necessary for participating in health and safety training, applying for scholarships, accessing the library's electronic resources, and communicating with course instructors.

Virtual University

This website allows you to download referrals for tests, view your personal data, check account numbers, received and recorded grades, study history, enrolled subjects, etc. Login address: https://wu.umw.edu.pl. The login and password are the same as those set for your university email (use your first name.last name as the login, without Polish characters).

mStudent Download the app from Google Play or the App Store. The app allows quick access to important information without logging into the Virtual University. Within the app, you can check:

  • Personal data included in the dean's office system,
  • Grades (including the study average),
  • Study progress,
  • Scholarship information,
  • Financial account status, and from the new academic year, the class schedule will be visible in the app. An English version of the app is available for English-speaking students.

Purchasing Textbooks and Other Study Materials It is not advisable to buy new textbooks for each subject immediately. It’s best to wait until the first classes, where the lecturer will recommend which textbooks to use. You can borrow them from the UMW Library or buy them from older students, for example, during a book fair organized by students at the beginning of the academic year. Older students can also help you with their notes or other materials from classes. In the library, you can also use anatomical models of the skull on-site. The book fair is usually organized by the Student Scientific Society. It's worth following the STN profile on Facebook.

Purchasing Clothing and a Stethoscope It's best to wait for the introductory meeting with your year advisor before making purchases. They will inform you about the required clothing for your program. One common item for all is a lab coat for anatomy classes. A stethoscope is only necessary for the medical program and only in the third year, so there is no need to buy one at the beginning.

Library To register at the Library, you must first collect your student ID and register on the Main Library's website (in the OPAC catalog), and then activate your account within 14 days at the Collection Lending Department - 1st floor counter. A student ID and an ID card are required to activate the account. To use electronic resources, remote registration in the Central Authorization System is sufficient, and there is no need to appear in person. The main library is located at the Center for Scientific Medical Information at Marcinkowskiego 2-6 on the Clinic Campus. The library also has a branch at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Borowska 211, Building I. For more information, visit the library's website https://bg.umw.edu.pl/ in the Services section.

Scholarships As a first-year student, you can apply for a social scholarship, a scholarship for people with disabilities, the Rector's scholarship, and emergency financial aid.
